CAT TAYLOR, PR Intern
Cat Cat is currently a junior at the College of Charleston majoring in Corporate Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations and Event Planning. Growing up in a small Midwestern town in Ohio, Cat wanted a change of pace and a new environment while pursuing her higher education. The grandeur of Charleston and its unique culture instantly drew Cat to its southern city. Although unfamiliar with this part of the country, she knew by her first real southern meal in town that this was the place she needed to be. She has lived here for over two years in a traditional and beautiful historic Charleston home and does not think twice about returning to the frigid and miserable winters of the North. Cat knew that she wanted to pursue the Public Relations field after completing an internship at Gotham magazine in New York City. Since then, she has taken a variety of Communication based classes and interned at the Office of Cultural Affairs for the City of Charleston, which promotes the art community in the city and plan numerous events, including Piccolo Spoleto. Cat has always been the “planner” within her group of friends and knew that she wanted to transfer her organizational skills into a career.

When she’s not taking classes, or working with Annie at Byrdhouse, Cat loves to create new dishes in the kitchen. Cat's passion for food has grown tenfold since living in Charleston due to its vast array of delicious dining options. Not only does she love to eat out, but Cat also enjoys trying new recipes and feeding her ever-hungry group of friends. In addition to visiting the amazing restaurants Downtown, Cat loves to wander around the city and explore its many treasures.
