All in the Family: A Dynamic Sibling Duo

Check out Bill + Amalia Scatena, the dynamic sibling duo behind Easton Porter’s kitchens, in this month’s The Local Palate. Bill helms the kitchen at Pippin Hill Farm + Vineyards in Charlottesville, while our girl Amalia is here in Charleston at Cannon Green. We think their dishes are just as attractive as they are! Good genes in that Scatena family…

The Buck Stops Here…(in Charleston, this May)

Time to bring on the “wise” and “buck” puns…there’s a new kid on the block and we are so excited to be working with them as they launch 3 really unique and special concepts here in Charleston. Chef Damon Wise and business partner Jonathan Buckley announced today via Eater that they will be opening 3 restaurants–Scarecrow, Feathertop and Wise-Buck Smoked Meats–in the coming months, downtown at 23 Ann Street (in between the Children’s Museum and the Visitor’s Center, for you locals).

We’ve had the opportunity to take a peek at the designs + menus for each, and we can say wholeheartedly that we cannot wait to see it come together.

Damon has worked with many of the great chefs of the world, and this will be his first restaurant of his own, so we have a feeling it’s going to be big, big, big. Follow along at @scarecrowandco for more info on opening plans.
