Lynn Easton Andrews on The Knot TV

I have to admit–I absolutely loved planning my wedding back in 2007 and would totally do it all over again if someone would let me! Alas, I don’t think Matt will ever go for the vow renewal thing people are doing these days, so my memories of that beautiful day will have to suffice. It’s one of the reasons I am so excited about working with Lynn of Easton Events in Charleston and Charlottesville, because I get to relive being a bride through her work.

Lynn recently chatted with Rebecca of The Knot TV on location at Pippin Hill, where Lynn creates the most incredible weddings for some very lucky brides. Check out the video for some great looking shots of the farm and Lynn’s amazing work.

    St. C’s Career Day

I am so honored to be traveling to Richmond, VA, tomorrow to present at St. Catherine’s School Career Day. I was a boarder at St. Cat’s for 3 years in high school and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I met lifelong friends and was challenged in a way I never had been before. I think having to learn independence at such a young age laid the foundation for taking risks and going outside of my comfort zone in years to come. I will forever be grateful for the experiences I had at St. Cat’s, and am so flattered to be speaking on behalf of ByrdHouse at Career Day tomorrow. I just hope I have some valuable knowledge to share with these girls, besides not partying too hard in college!

Can’t wait to be back in Richmond and to catch up with old friends.

      Mike Lata in Departures

I had the good fortune to work with Mike Lata of FIG for many years and cannot say enough about what a talented chef he is. I had the chance a few months ago to work with former Garden & Gun editor and Charleston local, Sid Evans, on a feature about Mike for Departures magazine. Sid is now in Birmingham where he serves as Group Editor for Time Inc’s Lifestyle Division, which includes the mags Cooking Light, Southern Living, Coastal Living, Sunset and This Old House. Sid wrote a pretty dynamic piece on Mike’s new venture in downtown Charleston, The Ordinary.

Here’s a link to the full feature in case you missed it!
